Forum OpenACS Q&A: Where to Set Xinha for Forums, News, Xowiki and other Text Fields

I've looked into parameters for packages, searched for Xihna and RichText but have not seen any reference to where it can be set so that there's wysiwyg editing available in text fields.

In ]po[ they bring all the parameters together and i see where to set it.

a) set parameter "UseHtmlAreaForRichtextP" in the package parameters of acs-templating to 1
b) set parameter "RichTextEditor" in the package parameters of acs-templating to "xinha", or "ckeditor4" or "tinymce" and install the package "richtext-xinha" and/or richtext-ckeditor4" and/or richtext-tinymce. If these packages are not installed, a warning will appear in the error.log

point (b) is part of the OpenACS 5.9.1 agenda. see http://www.openacs.org/xowiki/openacs-todo

Thanks for your reply.
I changed the default from 0 to 1 in the package parameters of acs-templating

I checked to see that the Richtext Xinha 0.4 is installed and Enabled

I see the "XinhaDefaultPlugins" default parameters are "GetHtml CharacterMap ContextMenu ListType TableOperations EditTag LangMarks Abbreviation"

Now where should I see the Xinha or did i miss something?

what is the version of acs-templating you are using?
acs-templating ACS Templating 5.9.1d5 2015-10-04
It's working now.
